There's friends and then there's friends

One of the best things about being a fly fishing blogger out West here is the realization that we're a pretty close knit group. Some of "us" get together and fish, we exchange flies, we guest post when one of the friends needs a break or sometimes just bake cookies and sent them off.
I won't say it was a surprise when I got a package in the mail today from Emily, AKA The River Damsel. After all, I've heard her talk about snickerdoodles for a long, long time and I've bugged her for the same amount of time. Snickerdoodles are one of my favorites.
Healthiest looking sick person ever
In the midst of sending her son Ryan off to his mission in Arizona, Emily posted pictures on Facebook of packaging Cookies for Colorado.  Then, before I could start the harassment, I got a message that she was on her way to the hospital.  Her last words to me were, "Don't worry, I'll get the package to the post office somehow."
And she did. Today when the mail arrived there was a BIG box delivered.

So, you see what I'm talking about? That's what I call a friend. By the way, Emily is okay and back home and planning her next adventure. Now let's see...where did I leave my recipe for double chocolate fudge cookies?  Thanks Em, they're great!

Betcha I couldn't eat just one
